Medina
Within the dense, pulsating fabric of Fez’s Medina — a maze of 9,400 paths — every face hints at a deeper narrative.
This work traces the human presence within that immensity: faces, gestures, and fleeting encounters carried by a current of secrets and stories.
There is a quiet, Kafkaesque undertone to the act of moving through the Medina — a sense of endless approach, where each turn opens onto unfamiliar scenes, as though the destination retreats with every step.
The city becomes both map and mirage — a physical and mental terrain of infinite discovery, an Interzone where reality unfolds in fragments, pulses, and half-revealed truths.
